The clearance adjustment device of the wheel drum brake of the imported small car is mostly geared according to its structure. The adjustment method is as follows:
Lift up the wheels and make sure the hub is unshaken, remove the dust plug of the adjusting hole, check the quality of the hoof pieces, and replace the hoof pieces in time if worn to the step where the limit mark is used.
When the gap between wheel brake shoes and brake drum is checked, the brake pedal should be pushed to the bottom. The distance from the outer edge of brake pedal to the front panel of the cab should be measured not less than the specified value.
When adjusting, insert the screwdriver through the adjusting hole and turn the adjusting gear in the direction shown by the arrow until the wheel cannot be turned. Step on the brake pedal several times and once again verify that the wheel cannot rotate, redraw 4 to 5 teeth (if the wheel can still rotate). At this point, insert the gauge of appropriate thickness into the brake drum, pull out the gauge, if there is a certain amount of resistance is appropriate. If not required, adjust the gear by turning it. Adjust the gap between the hoof pieces on the other side in the same way.
Turn the wheel by hand, the wheel should be able to smooth rotation, without the phenomenon of hysteresis. If the hysteresis wear phenomenon is felt, adjust the gear to loosen back 1~2 teeth. Install the dust plug with the adjusting hole, then start the car, test the braking effect of the brake at the speed of 30km/h, and check the unbiased brake or other abnormal phenomena. If there is any deviation or other abnormal phenomenon, adjust the brake again.
